Thanks Jill P. :-) You always leave such nice comments. And I do believe I will take you advice on the new projects and shawl.

Also I love K.W.O. ! I think you are on to something there.....

Amen! I've had the same drama about feeling like I needed to blog a certain amount, or, for that matter, read other blogs and comment on them a certain amount. I'm trying to get better at letting go. It's a must because it can really suck up a lot of time and energy. I think it's also a good idea to transfer the B.W.O. to K.W.O, (Knitting Without Obligation!) or H.W.O (Hobbying...) which I must say is a much more challenging philosophy to adopt.

I think you should let yourself cast on for new projects that excite you. As long as you have the open needles, what's the harm? When you're ready, you'll return to those almost finished pieces with renewed vigor and excitement. (If the garter stitch shawl is easy enough, you might think about tossing it in the car, in case you need something to knit while your outside the house. You'd be surprised how much you might get done and maybe end up ultimately appreciating the project because it's there when you need it. :-) I've finished a lot of boring scarves that way.

Anyway, I'm thrilled to read your blog whenever you post. Hurray for letting go of unnecessary feelings of guilt and obligation! I'm right there with you...
